Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

NY Express Care Medical Care is a leading provider of point of care testing, evaluation and management for COVID 19. By providing both levels of care in Commack, Ronkonkoma, Coram, Brooklyn, and Harrison, the practice has the unique ability to attend to the full spectrum of patient needs. The walk-in practice offers convenient, high-quality care that patients can access on their own schedule.

Responsibilities include:

• Instruct patients to self-administer nasal swab testing
• Collect test samples from patients safely and according to regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to patients
• Label and ensure that all test samples are accurately identified
• Set up and prep test stations
• Consistently clean and disinfect workstations
• Restock and unpack testing and cleaning supplies as needed
• Open and close the testing center, preparing the center for the next day, organizing and cleaning as needed
• Uphold a safe work environment and ensure COVID-19 protocols are being followed at our testing center
• Ability to clearly explain testing instructions to walk-in patients
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to wear PPE, such as masks, gloves, etc. throughout the entire shift.

Qualifications:

• Must be eligible to work in the US
• Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy valid certificate required
• Must be vaccinated (covid-19)

• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• On call

Experience:

• Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy: 1 year (Required)
• Covid Testing: 1 year (Required)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
